Product Description

Latanoprost Eye Drops for anti glaucoma

[Drug name] Latanoprost eye drops

[Common Name] Latanoprost Eye Drops

[Specification and Model] 125 μ g:2.5ml

[Term of Validity] 36 months

[Indication] Reduce the elevated intraocular pressure of patients with open angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

[Usage and dosage] Recommended dosage for adults (including the elderly): once a day, one drop at a time, applied to the affected eye. It works best at night. Silida should not be used more than once a day, because the increase in the number of medication will weaken the effect of lowering intraocular pressure. If you forget to use the medicine, you should still use it routinely the next time you use it. If other eye medications are needed, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart. In humans, the decrease of intraocular pressure starts at about 3-4 hours after administration, and reaches the maximum effect of lowering intraocular pressure at 8-12 hours. The intraocular pressure can be lowered for at least 24 hours.
[Adverse reaction] Silida eye drops can cause the brown pigment of iris to deepen, especially in patients with mixed iris color (such as blue brown, gray brown, green brown, yellow brown), which is due to the increase of melanin content in melanocytes at the iris base. According to the evidence obtained by continuous photography, 16% of patients in the 12 month clinical trial could observe this effect. Among them, the incidence of iris in patients with green brown and yellow brown mixed colors is the highest, about 50%. Iris color changes occur slowly and may not be noticed for months to years. In the clinical trial, the iris color change is not accompanied by any symptoms or pathological changes. The iris brown pigment will not be further deepened after the treatment is stopped, but the color change that has occurred may be permanent. In the two-year clinical trial, the patients who found pure blue, gray, green or brown irises of the eyes had rare color changes

[Precautions] About 13% of patients have slight foreign body sensation in their eyes. About 10% of patients with long-term treatment have mild conjunctival congestion, and about 1% have moderate conjunctival congestion. Periorbital edema has been reported. About 8% of patients found transient epithelial punctate erosion, but most of them had no symptoms. Symptomatic corneal edema and erosion have been reported. Sirita may cause the eyelashes to become darker, thicker and longer. However, eyelid skin darkening is rarely reported. There are few reports of macular edema in the treatment of Glida, and it mainly occurs in aphakic patients, patients with posterior lens capsular tear or implantation of anterior chamber intraocular lens, or patients with known risk factors of macular cystoid edema (such as diabetes retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion). The correlation between Glida and unexplained macular edema cannot be ruled out (please read the instructions carefully and use according to the doctor's advice).

[Contraindication] 1. People who are known to be allergic to any component of Silida Eye Drops. 2. The wearer of corneal contact lens (contact lens).
