Product Description

Travoprost Eye Drops for Antiglaucoma 2.5ml:0.1mg

[Warning]

It is reported that this product can cause changes in pigment tissue. The most common reports indicate that these changes can increase the pigmentation of iris and periorbital tissue (eyelid) and increase the color and growth of eyelashes, which may be permanent.

0.004% trovoprost eye drops can gradually change the eye color, and increase the number of melanosomes (pigment particles) in melanocytes to increase the number of iris brown pigment. The long-term effects of melanocytes and potential damage to melanocytes, and/or pigment particles deposited in other areas of the eye are not well understood. The change of iris color develops very slowly, even for several months or years, so the patient should be informed of the possibility of iris pigment change. It has been reported that the eyelid skin is blackened after using this product.

This product may gradually change the eyelashes of the treated eyes; These changes include: longer and denser eyelashes, and increased pigment and/or eyelashes. For patients receiving treatment with one eye, the patient should be informed that there may be an increase of brown pigment in the iris, periorbital and/or eyelid tissues and eyelashes of the treated eye, so there will be color differences in both eyes. The patient should also be informed of differences in the length, density, and/or number of eyelashes in both eyes.

[character]
This product is colorless to yellowish clear liquid

[indication]
Reduce the elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, who are intolerant of using other intraocular pressure lowering drugs or have poor efficacy (unable to achieve the target IOP after multiple administration).

[Specifications]
2.5ml; 0.1mg

[Usage and dosage]
Recommended dosage: 1 drop per time, once per night, into the affected eye. The dose should not exceed once a day, because frequent use will reduce the effect of lowering intraocular pressure. This product can be used to lower intraocular pressure together with other eye topical drugs. When more than one ophthalmic drug is used at the same time, the time interval between drops of each drug shall be at least 5 minutes.

[Adverse reactions]
In the clinical control study of this product, the most common ocular adverse reaction observed is ocular congestion, which is seen in 35% - 50% of patients. About 3% of patients stopped taking drugs due to conjunctival congestion. 5-10% of the adverse eye reactions include vision loss, eye discomfort, foreign body sensation, pain, and itching. 1-4% of the adverse eye reactions included vision abnormalities, blepharitis, blurred vision, cataracts, inflammatory cells, conjunctivitis, dry eyes, eye discomfort, atrial flash, iris discoloration, keratitis, eyelid margin scab, photophobia, subconjunctival bleeding and lacrimation.
